Hugo Busso's field of research is philosophical modernity in relation to social transformations. In his previous books, he has researched Eurocentric epistemological obstacles to understanding the processes of social transformation in Latin America. Currently, his research topics focus on new counter-hegemonic practices and alternatives, in the context of the possibility of new sociopolitical and cultural imaginaries. The emphasis on Ecoocreativity focuses on the search for alternatives to current economic globalization, based on the monitoring of philosophical and eco-political perspectives of post-neoliberal meaning, which are being debated in Latin America and Europe. His concept and categorization of Ecoocreativity (a neologism that combines ecology, cooperativeness, and creativity) is his key theme. His latest book, Ecoocreativity, Post-Neoliberal Philosophy and Politics, will be published in French in 2026 by Editions Aliados Literarios.
